Champion Collegiate Recruiting

High school ice hockey players have many options available to compete at the collegiate level which include the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

In the highly competitive world of collegiate sports, you need to set yourself apart and give yourself the best opportunity to get the attention of college coaches. Many student-athletes are talented and have the ability to play sports in college yet are never discovered thus missing out on the opportunity of playing at the next level. Here at Champion Collegiate Recruiting, we partner with you and champion your recruiting cause by displaying to college coaches the recruitable player you are.

Don't wait to get discovered - help them discover you!

Recruiting Tip
There are a few things that we look at when recruiting a student athlete. The first thing would be work ethic. Over the last few years, I’ve learned that you can’t teach someone to work hard. The student athlete needs to have that desire to work hard every time they’re on the ice whether it’s practice or games. Being a team player is also another important aspect of the recruiting process. In the game of hockey, not everyone can be the star player. A team is built by putting pieces of the puzzle together to make the best team you can make. That might mean that a player is only playing on the power play, or someone only kills penalties, or they don’t dress but they continue to work hard and be a good teammate. And, I have to say hockey sense and knowing the game is a big one. I often say that kids these days aren’t playing enough pond hockey, where they learn how to play the game, how to get open, etc, without an adult or coach telling them where to go or what to do. We need more of those players who play and who can adapt to the system as they go with their sense of knowing the game.
